(SL) Sky Lanterns for Stanislaw Lem

View Scale

A homage to Solaris by the Polish writer Stanislav Lem, whose premise is a crew’s attempt to communicate with the chemical ocean of an extraterrestria planet. The play consists of launching sky lanterns as a way of establishing a planetary “we.” When a group of people gathers to send a signal to the sky, nationality and nationalisms are diluted, and an “earthly” unity is created with a common purpose beyond borders.
