The mural Female Earth shows the female body as a landscape and refers to a reading of historical moments of feminism from two books. In the first, The Death of Nature (1980), Carolyn Merchant reflects on ecofeminism and the link that exists between women and the earth regarding exploitation processes in favor of capitalism and the patriarchy during the Industrial Revolution. In the second, The Sexual Politics of Meat, Carol J. Adams points out the erasure of animals and women from the language describing practices involving inherent violence against them.
