The exhibition "What Are Our Collective Dreams? Global Connections — Abandoned Friendships" at Zachęta – National Gallery of Art in Warsaw presenting the mural "Social Stadium", 2025.
Cuevas's mural, created for the context of Poland, highlights a common global element: the hardening of borders and the spread of anti-migrant rhetoric. She connects the US-Mexico border with the Polish-Belarusian barrier, revealing how policies of exclusion affect not only people but also non-human agents, disrupting ecosystems such as the thousand-year-old Białowieża Forest.
The exhibition opens the archives of Zachęta to revisit the networks of global artistic relations forged during the socialist era in Poland.
