A video record of the artist’s night spent in the middle of a forest in Canada’s Rocky Mountains. With only a sleeping bag and a camera, Cuevas slept sur- rounded by animals. This act is a renunciation of the urban world and its comforts, inspired by a speech proclaimed in 1882 by Tatanka Iyotanka (known as Sitting Bull), chief of the Sioux Indians, in which he rejected the “advantages” of the world brought to the region by colonizers. The work consists of a mural, video, and posters.
