This work presents elements that are related to cacao. This seed, which has Mesoamerican origins, reveals the colonial processes that are present in the dynamics of global trade and capitalist exploitation as part of a cannibalistic process that would not have been possible without colonialism. The figure of a monkey is present in this installation in line with the mythology associated with cacao, since this animal fertilizes the earth by eating the tree’s fruits and excreting the seeds.
