[The Poor Man, the Rich Man, and the Mosquito]
The name of this piece is also the title of a fable writ- ten by the socialist author Tomás Meabe, which was included in the textbook ¡Levántate! (1939), used for primary education in Mexico. In this video, a child sits in front of a background with a projected mosquito reading this fable, which tells the deadly fate of a rich man and a poor man who are both lethally bit- ten by the same mosquito. Both fall ill from the same cause, in a bid for equality of conditions and the need to share despite the harshness of the environment.
