Thousands of bottles of water flood the “Grand Café”. As if this former coffee-house founded by Aristide Briand’s father, was back to its first function just long enough for an exhibition … except for one detail: Minerva Cuevas modified the label of Evian’s bottle.
The design alters the well know Evian water brand, relating it to an open comment on equality through the same visual channel and beauty of the original design that is widely recognized. The design has also being associated to the exploitation of the water resources in the world. The artist mentions this work in the short story 'Public lighting and moonlight' published by Gagarin Magazine in 2005.
A mural painting and a large stock of re-labeled bottles of water compose this exhibition.
